The clock is ticking for those new internet royalty rates to come into effect. Unless something changes, the rates will go up on July 15 - and those rate increases will be applied retroactively! These increased royalties could spell the death of internet radio, but not if Live 365 has anything to say about it. The company has been lobbying away in Washington, DC, to get an emergency stay on the new rates, and in the long term, Live 365, along with other internet radio companies, hopes to get these new rates repealed for good. Rod Hsiao, of Live 365, recently shared some of the story behind the fight with me - find out why he says the new rates are unfair, what Live 365 is doing about it, and what you can do to help.
