Record deals, who needs 'em? Just look at Dave Arcari. Dave is first and foremost a musician - and a very successful one at that (Alabama 3, of The Sopranos theme song fame, handpicked Dave as their opening act), but he's paralleled (and furthered) his success as a musician with success on the business side of things. By running the Buzz Group, which encompasses a label, management company and publicity company, Dave has learned invaluable lessons about how the music industry works while staying firmly in control of his own career. In this interview, Dave talks about how he's built his indie music empire, some of the things he's learned along the way, and what he thinks the priorities for up and coming musicians should be.
