A well planned and run music PR campaign can pay off in droves, but these things are definitely not cheap. Even small scale PR campaigns can take a hefty bite out of a musician/label budget. If you're going to shell out the cash, it makes sense to make sure that the people handling your press has all the support they need from you to get the job done, right?

It makes sense, but getting in the way of your music PR campaign is easier than you might think. How does that happen? It can be as simple as forgetting to keep the PR company in the loop about a big show you've booked or not sending along a jpeg they really need. Small things can have big consequences in fast paced PR pushes.
