Do You Have To Own Music?

Over the weekend, I read an article on CNN about college students' attitudes about music ownership versus music streaming. Now, being of an age group that has experienced the joy of uncovering that long-sought-after physical copy of some out of print album, I can't image calling music ownership "a lot of work," as one person in the article did (more like "a lot of joy" in my book), but still, I see the beauty of streaming sites. However, it's one think to use Pandora to discover new music and quite another to use streaming sites to replace buying music forever.

Like it or not, though, that's the way things are trending - and that clearly has some major ramifications for musicians and the industry. What do you think? How do you consume your music, and why? What do you think these changes mean for musicians? Share your thoughts on music ownership and music streaming!
