Managers are one of those things musicians always want to have almost as soon as they get started (do you even a manager yet? Find out). Now let's just go ahead and assume you need a pair of extra hands on deck looking out for things while you focus on the music. Let's also assume that, awesome as you are, no top-level music management gurus are knocking on your door just yet. That leaves you with a bit of a quandary - your only management options may be working with people who don't have much experience. Is it worth it?
As it turns out, sometimes working with a manager who is powered by pure enthusiasm can really work in your favor. Experience is great, but if you're not someone's priority, then you're not going to much from the deal anyway. As you're considering what to do about a manager, find out where experience fits into the picture.
