Folios are a book or other collection of sheet music of various songs. Folios are an important factor in music publishing deals as the royalty rate paid for a folio is usually less than the the royalty rate paid on an individual piece of sheet music. Though deals vary, royalties on folios are generally in the 10 - 12% range at the time of writing.
