Meta Tag Your Songs

By Heather McDonald, About.com

If you upload music to the internet, your song files have to have the correct meta data info, period. Not sure what that means? Have you ever downloaded an album or a song and then find that the file on your computer says "unknown artist" or "unknown song"? It makes it difficult for you to find the music when you want it, doesn't it? The reason that file says "unknown" is almost always because it was tagged properly with the right meta data. If you have made this mistake with your uploads, set some time aside to fix it ASAP. It will make it easier for your listeners to enjoy your music.
