Stow College's music program is best known for their student run label, Electric Honey. Pupils in the Music Business HND/HNC program run the label, getting hands on experience in all aspects of the industry. Electric Honey has a tremendous track record of launching bands that go on to huge careers (including Snow Patrol), but the label's biggest achievement was releasing Tigermilk, the debut album by Belle and Sebastian. Their limit run vinyl release became a collector's item worth many hundreds of dollars.
Stow also has two other student run labels - Root8 and Gdansk.
