How Do You Promote Your Music?
I try to play live at least once per week. I am currently pursuing a press and radio campaign to promote the first single from my debut album. I also networking on Facebook and Twitter and to a lesser extent on myspace.
Do You Release Your Own Music? Do You Want a Deal?
I am currently in the process of a DIY release of a digital single from my debut album called Makes Me Stronger. I would consider a deal if it is presented but I am not actively pursuing one. The single features Pam Hall providing harmonies, Desi Jones on drums, Leabert “Gibby” Morrison on bass, Dennis Rushton on keyboards and Nicholas Laraque on saxophone.
I have sung gospel, soul, jazz and classical music solo and in choirs professionally since I was eight years old. The musicians playing on the single, which was recorded at Tuff Gong, Bob Marley’s studio in Kingston, Jamaica, represent the crème de la crème of the internationally renowned Jamaican reggae/pop/jazz scene.
Performances in support of the single are planned for the Sidewalk Café in the East Village and Bar 4 in Park Slope, Brooklyn are being planned. Reviews are forthcoming in well known national and international publications and on respected websites. The single has already been receiving radio play on well known and respected radio stations.
