How Do You Promote Your Music?
We promote mainly through word-of-mouth, playing local venues and through our website, www.ontimeband.com.
Do You Release Your Own Music? Do You Want a Deal?
Yes, we have recorded a 6 song demo and we are currently in production with our 12 song original album, which is currently an independent project and release. We began covering tunes in the smooth jazz, r&b, funk and pop genres and playing them live, and now we are focusing on our original material for a full-length album.
Tips and Tricks
- Align yourself with musicians with similar goals musically- this way everyone can be on the same level of commitment, and in the end, you may have to be on tour with them, so it's a good idea to get along!
- Be patient- we all want to make it, but things don't always happen in the timeframe we'd like. Enjoy the journey and keep mindful of why you enjoy music and the fact that you were given a unique ability to share with the world, as well as a special gift that allows you to express in ways that words can't.
- Have fun! Nobody likes watching someone that looks bored on stage! :P
