How Do You Promote Your Music?
Playing live is the best way but we do all of our promoting/press/radio work online.
Do You Release Your Own Music? Do You Want a Deal?
We release all our music 100% by ourselves. We don't necessarily want or need a record label but it would be nice to have a booking agent, manager, and lawyer. The hardest part is booking and promoting shows right now. It's hard to get on festivals without a booking agent.
Tips and Tricks
- Find a band that is just starting to or is about to get a breakthrough and watch what they do to get successful. figure out what they did right up until they got their break and model yourselves after that with your own twist of course.
- give away demos at your shows.
- always try to give your fans things for free.
- make a unique and fun looking mailing list that makes people want to sign it.
- send out fun newsletters to keep fans engaged.
- play live, every chance that you get.
- make videos, people these days want more than just a song to hear, they want all their senses stimulated.
