It all began in 2006 with a vision of creating a recording label and artist management company that would cater for talented young artists, who many major record companies were overlooking. The recent worldwide growth and development of classic pop crossover music placed Showtime Records in the perfect position to establish itself in the South African music industry.
The philosophy of Showtime Records created a sound and image unique in its market which was evident very early on. The label’s initial focus was to develop young recording artists specifically in realm of Southern African and international classic pop crossover. This gave a platform for highly talented artists to express themselves beyond the confines of major record labels. Showtime Records has successfully achieved this by blending raw local talent with professional producers to market and present the product effectively.
Showtime Records developed strategic partnerships with production and publishing companies both locally and internationally. In terms of distribution, the company partners with major distributors for the purpose of distribution of all its products. Showtime Records also collaborates with top producers and recording studios both locally and internationally in order to produce world class productions.
Since its early beginnings in 2006, Showtime Records has established itself a serious player in the recording and artist management industry.
